Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Match My Pace mobile app and related services. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Match My Pace. By using the app, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to agree to these Terms.

2. What Match My Pace Does

Match My Pace is a social app for athletes to find, connect with, and meet people who want to train together. The app may include profiles, swiping, matches, chat, workout invites, photos, reports, blocks, and safety tools.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep your profile truthful and up to date. You may not create an account for someone else without permission.

4. Profile Information

Some profile details, such as name, date of birth, and gender, may not be editable after onboarding. Make sure these details are correct before completing your profile.

5. User Content

You are responsible for the content you add or send in the app, including photos, profile text, messages, workout invites, personal bests, and social links.

You agree not to post or send content that:

Is illegal, abusive, hateful, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory.
Contains nudity, sexual exploitation, or content involving minors.
Impersonates someone else or misrepresents who you are.
Infringes another person's privacy, intellectual property, or other rights.
Promotes scams, spam, malware, or unsafe activity.

6. Safety and Real-World Meetups

Match My Pace does not verify every user or guarantee another user's identity, intentions, fitness level, or conduct. Use your judgment when chatting or meeting someone. Meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and stop interacting with anyone who makes you uncomfortable.

You are responsible for your own safety during real-world meetups, workouts, runs, rides, gym sessions, or other activities arranged through the app.

7. Fitness Disclaimer

Match My Pace is not medical, fitness, or professional training advice. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is safe for you. Consult a medical professional before starting new exercise if you have health concerns.

8. Reports, Blocks, and Enforcement

You can report, block, or unmatch users in the app. We may remove content, restrict accounts, delete accounts, or take other action if we believe these Terms or safety standards have been violated. We may also preserve information where needed for safety, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.

9. No Misuse

You agree not to:

Use the app for harassment, stalking, intimidation, exploitation, or illegal activity.
Scrape, copy, or collect user data without permission.
Reverse engineer, attack, overload, or interfere with the app or its infrastructure.
Create fake accounts or use automation to manipulate matching.
Use the app to advertise, sell services, or send spam without permission.
Share another user's private information outside the app without permission.

10. Account Deletion

You can delete your account in Settings. Account deletion is intended to permanently remove your account and related data, except where retention is required for legal, safety, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.

11. Availability

We may change, pause, or discontinue parts of the app at any time. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

12. App Store

If you download Match My Pace through Apple's App Store, your use of the app may also be subject to Apple's terms and policies. Apple is not responsible for providing support or maintenance for Match My Pace.

13. Intellectual Property

Match My Pace, its branding, design, and app features are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or use them except as allowed by these Terms.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Match My Pace is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for user conduct inside or outside the app.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
